エリック・クラプトンについては、過去に別デザインのTシャツでも書き綴った通り、音楽面でもTシャツ面でも人生を通してお世話になっている存在であり、自分自身の感性に色濃く影響を与えてくれたアーティストの一人です。
無いとは思いますが、対面する機会がもしあったとするならば、恐らく感激のあまりに涙してしまうことが容易に想像つきます。
人生の中で自分自身の感性に影響を与えられる存在は一体どのくらいあるのだろうか、とふと思います。
それを受けるためには何でも良いのですが、何かに興味を持たないと始まりません。
また、自分自身に振りかかる出来事や、些細な人間関係のいざこざで世界の色が灰がかることもあれば、色鮮やかに映ることもあるでしょう。
エリック・クラプトンは個人的に当時世界の色が色褪せて見えていて、感情的にも廃れていた自分自身の心に灯りを灯してくれた存在でもあるからこそ、リスペクトの念が絶えないということをはっきりと認識しています。
もし、本人に会う機会があるとするならば、真っ先にこの気持ちを伝えたい次第です。
As I wrote about Eric Clapton on another T-shirt design in the past, he is one of the artists who have been a great support to me throughout my life, both in terms of music and T-shirts, and has had a profound influence on my own sensibilities.
I don’t think I’ll ever see him again, but if I ever have the chance to meet him, I can easily imagine that I’ll be moved to tears.
I suddenly wonder how many things in life can influence my own sensitivity.
It doesn’t matter what it is, to receive it, you have to be interested in something to begin with.
Also, events that happen to us, or minor relationship conflicts, can make the world look ashen or colorful.
Eric Clapton was the one who lit up my own heart, which at the time was personally looking faded and emotionally defunct, and I am clearly aware of the fact that I have an unending respect for him.
If I ever have the chance to meet him, I would like to be the first to tell him how I feel.
