ミュージックTにナンバリングがデザインされることはしばしばあることで、Reo SpeedwagonのツアーTも同様の手法のデザインがあるのを見ると、元々ゼッケンとしての機能を要していたナンバリングTの文化がツアー開催年に見立てられるさまに、文化の融合を感じます。
また、年号が強調されることは、ファンでなくともそのTシャツへ愛着が湧いてくるのもので、古着屋勤務時代には自分か生まれた年のTシャツは集めてしまう、というような話を同僚とよくしていたものです。
When I saw that Reo Speedwagon’s tour t-shirts were designed in the same way, I felt that the culture of numbering t-shirts, which was originally used as a numbering system, was being combined with the year of the tour.
When I was working at a vintage clothing store, I often talked with my colleagues about how I would collect T-shirts of the year I was born.
