おっ、知らないバンド来たね〜と知りもしないでノリで手に入れた一枚。
デザインさえ自分の中でイケてると思えば、知ろうが知るまいが、躊躇なく橋を渡るという危うい性質があると自負しているのですが、それはさておき、実際買い付け後に調べてみると、ミートローフはバンドではなく、個人の名前でしかもニックネームであったというオチ。
もちろん、デザイン先行で手に入れたわけなので、付加価値をいかに付与するかという展開になります。
そもそもミートローフはシンガーソングライターでありながら、俳優をやっていたりという、日本で言うところの福山雅治さんや北村匠海さんのような存在。
ロッキーホラーショーやファイトクラブにも出演されていたということで、このようなメジャー作品(と個人的には思っている)に出演もしているという事実に付加価値を見出します。
何も知らなくとも、後から知れば良いわけで、もちろんそれが全て付加価値の付与につながるかどうかは確約が無いため危うい性質であると思うところですが、調べること自体が自身の血となり肉となりますので、失敗、成功という結果の前提の過程は無駄にはならないと考えます。
This is one of those albums that I got on the spur of the moment, thinking, “Oh, here comes a band I don’t know.
I’m proud to say that I have a dangerous tendency to cross a bridge without hesitation, whether I know it or not, as long as I think the design is cool, but aside from that, after I bought it, I found out that Meat Loaf is not a band, but a personal name, and a nickname.
Of course, since I acquired the band based on the design, I had to figure out how to add value to it.
To begin with, Meat Loaf is a singer-songwriter and actor, like Masaharu Fukuyama or Shokai Kitamura in Japan.
He has also appeared in Rocky Horror Show and Fight Club, so the fact that he has appeared in such major productions (I personally think so) adds value to him.
