ヴィンテージの和物デザインは、このドッケンのTシャツに限らず、ナイキの浮世絵Tであったり、干支シリーズのTシャツであったり、スカジャンであったり、和柄ハワイアンであったりと、様々なアイテムがあり、デザインが良いのはもちろんなのですが、惹かれる理由をあえて言語化するとしたら、誇らしい気持ちにさせてくれるから、と言ったところでしょうか。
古着＝メイド・イン・U.S.A.とか他国産の古い衣類というのが根本にあるので、国産のそれとはデザインや形状が全く異なるものと自然に定義付けられているところに、まさかの「他国で日本のデザインが古くに産み出されていた」という事実に衝撃を覚え、自国が他国に認められた、という自尊心が満たされるところが最も惹かれる要因だと考えます。
とりわけ、ヴィンテージミュージックTの和物デザインの中でこのドッケンのTシャツは日本の絵画でもそのままありそうな浮世絵を投影していています。
デザイン的にも目を見張るものがあることから、ファッション的にもグッドデザインで、かつ自尊心を高めてくれる要因も重なったことが人気を高めているところでしょう。
自分自身も有無を言わさず好きで、ずっと探していたのですが、幸運にもこのTシャツが手元にやってきましたので、熱い気持ちを胸に満を持して提供することができたと自負しています。
