ヴィンテージロックTの中でも最も入手困難なジャンルと言えば、迷わずハードコアが出てきます。
バンドとしてメジャーシーンで活躍しているバンドが一握りのため、そもそもTシャツ制作の機会が少なく、生産数も恐らく限られていたことから流通数が少ないことから希少性が高まっていると考えられます。
自分自身もハードコアは音楽的にも通ってないジャンルであったため、全く耳にしたことの無いバンド名のTシャツを発見した時は見つけては即調べ、頭の中でそろばんを弾き、購入有無を瞬時に判断するような動きでできるだけ対応してました。
また、モノにもよりますが、ハードコアバンドのTシャツは一見しただけではそもそも知見が無いとハードコアTかどうかすら判断できないこともあったので、そのTシャツのデザインから醸し出されるオーラのようなものを嗅ぎ分けて購入有無を判断することもあり、これに関してはもはや勘で判断しているとも言えます。
その勘を養うにも、たくさん失敗をしてきました。
失敗があってこそ養われた勘と言えますが、今はむしろ、精巧なコピー品なども出回っているので経験を積み重ねても失敗しないとも言い切れません。
ただ、積み重ねた知見は糧となり、その糧が違和感を察知してくれます。
自分が感じた違和は、積み重ねた糧が真剣に向き合って形成されたものであれば、自分を間違えのない方向へ導くものとなるでしょう。
When it comes to the most difficult genre of vintage rock T’s to find, hardcore comes up without hesitation.
Since there are only a handful of bands that are active in the major scene, there are not many opportunities to produce T-shirts, and the number of production was probably limited.
Since hardcore was not a genre I was familiar with musically, when I found a T-shirt with a band name I had never heard of, I would look it up immediately, play the abacus in my head, and make an instant decision as to whether or not to buy it.
Also, depending on the product, I sometimes couldn’t tell if a hardcore band’s T-shirt was a hardcore T-shirt or not just by looking at it, so I had to sniff out the aura that the T-shirt’s design gave off to decide if I wanted to buy it or not.
In this case, I can say that I am no longer making decisions based on intuition.
In order to develop this intuition, I have made a lot of mistakes.
I can say that my intuition has been cultivated only through failures, but nowadays, rather sophisticated copies of products are available, so I cannot say that I will not fail even if I accumulate experience.
However, accumulated knowledge is food for thought, and that food will help you detect discomfort.
The discomfort you feel will lead you in the right direction, if the accumulated knowledge is formed by facing it seriously.
