ザ・クラッシュのTシャツはロックTブーム時から知名度共に他バンドを凌駕する人気を誇り、当時から入手自体が非常に困難でした。
ショップ店員時代に1984年のツアーTが入荷したことがありますが、当時ですら3万円の価格を付けて即売れする状況で、改めてパンクスの熱量を感じていたところです。
クラッシュのTシャツも縁があり数枚仕入れてこれましたが、仕入れる側も気合いを入れないと到底引っ張ってこれるものではなく、正にStraight to hellの名の通り、爆死覚悟の交渉となったことは言うまでも無いかもしれません。
お店に並んでいる商品は綺麗な状態のもので当たり前と感じますが、バイイング側に回るとそれを揃えることがいかに困難であるかということが身に染みて実感するところ。
それはこのクラッシュに限った話では無く、全ての商品に通じるところでもあります。

When I was a store clerk, we once had a 1984 tour t-shirt in stock, but even back then, it sold out immediately at a price of 30,000 yen, and I was reminded of how passionate the punks were.
We were also able to purchase a few CRASH T-shirts, but the people who purchased them had to put in a lot of effort to be able to pull them in, and as the name Straight to Hell suggests, it probably goes without saying that we were prepared to die in the negotiations.
It’s easy to take for granted that the products in the store are in perfect condition, but when you’re on the buying side, you realize just how difficult it is to get them all.
This is true not only for this crash, but for all products.
